Despite an even first half--30-30 at the buzzer--West Virginia (6-2) took off in the second over Robert Morris (3-5) to win 82-49 at the WVU Coliseum Tuesday night.

West Virginia will face North Carolina State in the Champs Sports Bowl to be played at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.

Geno Smith threw for 343 yards and a touchdown as West Virginia cruised to a 35-14 win over Rutgers, clinching a share of the Big East title.

The No. 24 West Virginia Mountaineers took it to Rutgers in Morgantown to end the regular season with a 35-14 victory. The Mountaineers offense dominated with 512 total yards of offense.

Blake Hoffarber hit the winning 3-pointer with 1:31 left to lift Minnesota to a 74-70 win over West Virginia on Sunday night in the final of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off tournament. Casey Mitchell scored 27 points for West Virginia.

Hoffarber hit 4 3-pointers and scored 12 points for the Golden Gophers (5-0), who capped their four-day run in Puerto Rico with a championship trophy.

Casey Mitchell drained a 3 from the left wing to lift West Virginia over Vanderbilt 74-71 in the semifinals of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan. Mitchell had 31 points and hit 6 of 12 treys on the afternoon.
