Pitt senior defensive end Brandon Lindsey and West Virginia junior quarterback Geno Smith are among the Walter Camp Football Foundation's forty “players to watch” for its 2011 Player of the Year award.

Lindsey, of Aliquippa High School, led the Big East with 17.5 tackles for losses and tied for 14th in the NCAA with 10 sacks.
