By the time Katie Vaughan’s mother gave her the choice to try out for either soccer or hockey, the pillows that her brothers would strap onto her whenever neither of them wanted to get in goal already spoke for themselves. She has been playing hockey since she was 6-years-old.

Now a sophomore at Penn State, Vaughan is already building up an impressive resume.

Patrick Chambers called his decision to accept the position as Penn State’s new head basketball coach “a no-brainer.” His success at Boston University caught Penn State’s attention and in June, Chambers eagerly took the opportunity to return to State College – a place he refers to as home because his siblings attended the university and his immediate family lives close by.
