T.J. McConnell scored 18 points and Duquesne held Saint Louis without a basket for 14 minutes while turning a four-point deficit into a 19-point lead before going on to 67-45 victory on Wednesday night, its fifth in a row.

Maybe it was in honor of the NFL playoffs in full swing in Pittsburgh.

Bill Clark led four players in double digits with 17 points and added a career high-tying 14 rebounds as Duquesne never trailed in defeating IUPUI 81-54 at the Palumbo Center.

Duquesne’s T.J. McConnell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his performance in Duquesne’s games against Green Bay and West Virginia last week.

West Virginia rallied from 10 down with 15 minutes left to beat Duquesne 64-61 at Consol Energy Center Sunday night. WVU's Jonnie West scored 10 points in the second half to counter the Dukes' T.J. McConnell, who scored 18 and missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

For the Dukes, maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
