Michigan defensive end Anthony Zettel has verbally committed to Penn State. The 6-4, 250-pound Zettel, from Ogemaw Heights High School in West Branch, Mich. selected Penn State over Michigan, Michigan State and Iowa.
An AP All-Michigan performer as a senior, Zettel recorded 113 tackles and seven sacks as a senior. Zettel was recruited by Penn State as a defensive end, but he is versatile enough to play offensive line and could very well wind up as a guard or center on the offensive side of the ball.
He is the ninth recruit in the Nittany Lions class of 2011.
