
South Park continues roll with win over Carlynton

Quarterback Nick Scholle led the way for the host Eagles, scoring four first-half touchdowns as South Park (5-2) built a 40-0 halftime lead and cruised past the winless Cougars (0-7).
Scholle scored on runs of 9 and 6 yards in the first quarter to put South Park ahead 14-0. Ty Washington opened the second quarter scoring with a 38 yard scamper before Scholle added two more rushing scores, from 19 and 9 yards out.
Harry Zaremba closed the half with a 55-yard interception return for a TD to make the score 40-0 South Park.
The second half opened with the mercy rule in effect.
Brandon Rodgers got Carlynton on the board with a run from 2-yards out, and Isiah Canton scored on a 60-yard run in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring at 40-12.
