Penn Hills athlete Chaz Whittaker has chosen West Virginia over offers from Pitt, Temple and Toledo. Whittaker, a 6-4, 180-pounder who has played receiver, quarterback and defensive back for Penn Hills, will play defensive back at WVU.
Whittaker is the second Penn Hills player to commit to a Division I college. Receiver Corey Jones is headed to Pitt. He is the second Pennsylvania player to commit to West Virginia under new head coach Dana Holgorsen. Red Land defensive end Bret Niederreither committed in August.
