Jeannette running back Jordan Hall has given a verbal commitment to Ohio State. Hall is the second WPIAL player to commit to the Buckeyes this week, joining Gateway linebacker Dorian Bell.
Hall, 5’9” 180-pounds, chose Ohio State over Penn State, Pitt, Michigan and Notre Dame. He has not visited any other schools.
Hall verbally committed to the Buckeyes on Monday night, then announced his decision Tuesday. He followed in the footsteps of Gateway linebacker Dorian Bell, a five-star recruit, who committed to Ohio State on Monday morning.
Bell and Hall are the latest in a recent group of regional players who have formed s semi-pipeline from the WPIAL to Ohio State. Jeannette quarterback Terrelle Pryor and Trinity linebacker Andrew Sweat both signed recently with the Buckeyes, joining Trinity tight end Andy Miller, Beaver tight end Rory Nichol and Woodland Hills receiver Devon Lyons, although Lyons has since matriculated to West Virginia.
Hall was a key weapon on Jeannette’s state-championship last season, as he rushed for 891 yards and 20 touchdowns, and caught 27 passes for 704 yards and 9 touchdowns.
