Pitt adds another New Jersey recruit

Pitt received another commitment from a 2011 recruit on Friday when New Jersey defensive end Max Issaka gave the Panthers a verbal commitment.

The 6-2, 220-pounder chose Pitt over offers from Rutgers, Michigan State, Maryland, NC State and Duke. Issaka, of Woodbridge High School, also plays outside linebacker but projects as a down lineman in college.

He is Pitt's 13th commitment in the Class of 2011 and the fifth from the state of New Jersey. He is the second defensive end in as many days to verbally pledge to Pitt.
