Annual Coors Light Kickoff & Rib Festival planned for Labor Day weekend
The Steelers and Heinz Field are inviting fans to celebrate the start of the 2010 football season at the Annual Coors Light Kickoff and Rib Festival, Sept. 2–6 at Heinz Field. The Festival is the longest running and largest event of its kind in Pittsburgh.
Football, food and fun will highlight the weekend that will feature a Steelers game, world-renowned rib vendors, free concerts by national music artists and much more. The event is open from noon to midnight Thursday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 5, and from noon to 7 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday and at 4 p.m. on Monday.
The Steelers will play their final preseason game when they host the Carolina Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Field on Thursday, Sept. 2. Fans without tickets can enjoy the festival along Art Rooney Avenue throughout the game.
Friday’s concert will feature The Clarks. Saturday morning, fans can cheer on runners who participate in the Annual Steelers 5K Race and Fitness Walk through the North Shore, followed by a Saturday night homecoming concert by Butler native and Celebrity Apprentice winner Bret Michaels. Sunday night’s concert features country music superstars Little Big Town. Monday afternoon’s activities conclude with a 4:30 p.m. concert by Uncle Kracker.
