Pitt picks up another in-state blue chipper

Terrell Chestnut of Pottsgrove High School in Pottstown has decided to play football at Pitt. Chestnut, a 5-11, 185-pound quarterback at Pottsgrove, will likely play defensive back for the Panthers.

Chestnut completed 43-of-60 passes for 503 yards last season, and also rushed 174 times for 995 yards and 19 touchdowns while leading Pottstown to the PIAA double-A title. He's averaged 90 tackles as a safety over the past two seasons.

Chestnut chose Pitt over offers from more than 30 programs, including LSU, Penn State, Rutgers, West Virginia and South Carolina.

He is the second elite recruit to commit to Pitt this week.
