Robert Morris surrendered an eight-point lead in the final two minutes as Central Connecticut State rallied to deal the Colonials their first conference loss, 74-73, Saturday afternoon at the Sewall Center.

Over the past two weeks, basketball for Robert Morris has been marred by the yearlong suspensions of four players and the ongoing absence of two more.

Karvel Anderson scored 32 points, including the final nine for the Colonials, as Robert Morris edged Bryant 71-67 on Saturday to improve to 2-0 in the NEC.

Karvel Anderson scored 36 points to lead Robert Morris over Sacred Heart, 79-70, in their NEC opener on Thursday night in Fairfield, Conn.

Anderson was 15 of 19 from the floor, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range, as the Colonials took a nine-point halftime lead and held off a late Sacred Heart charge for the victory.
