The Pitt baseball team entered May in the midst of one of the best seasons in program history, chasing a Big East title and a berth in the College World Series. It's hard to imagine a better way for the Panthers to enter the ACC.

Pitt catcher Kevan Smith often wonders what would have happened had his athletic career not taken a three-year detour away from baseball. The Steelers opened the preseason as the odd-on favorite in the AFC North, but injuries and suspensions could open the door for a still-talented Bengals team and Ravens squad looking to rebound from a disappointing 2015.

Pittsburgh Penguins’ head coach Mike Sullivan has obviously spoken several very kind words about his championship hockey team. Sullivan has complimented his team’s speed, chemistry, and teamwork. But perhaps more than anything else, Sullivan complimented their toughness.
