The Clairton Bears won their third straight PIAA Single-A championship Friday afternoon in Heshey, roaring back from a 24-0 deficit to beat Taylor Riverside 36-30.

After trailing 24-0 in the first half, Clairton mounted an epic comeback with 36 unanswered points to defeat Taylor Riverside 36-30, capturing their second straight PIAA Class A championship.

North Allegheny beat Cumberland Valley 35-17 in Quad-A, and South Fayette whipped Forest Hills 49-12 in the Double-A semifinal, and both teams will advance to the state championship games next weekend.

Clairton has advanced to the Pennsylvania state championship game with a 48-8 thumping of Farrell Friday night. The Bears play Taylor Riverside next week for the state title.
