Jim Ferry, who led LIU Brooklyn to its second consecutive NCAA Championship appearance this March, has been named men’s basketball coach at Duquesne University, replacing the fired Ron Everhart.

Ferry, 44, reached an agreement with Duquesne on Tuesday afternoon.

B.J. Monteiro led the way with 13 points, but Duquesne fell behind early and could not come all the way back, losing on the road to George Washington 56-51 on Saturday.

George Washington outscored Duquesne 5-1 in the final minute to pull away for a 56-51 win over the Dukes at Smith Center.
