Kendall Pollard scored 16 points as Dayton held Duquesne to a season-low 53 points in posting a 90-53 win over the Dukes at UD Arena.

Isiaha Mike led Duquesne, which shot 36.4 percent, with 12 points. Eric James scored 11 and Emile Blackman added 10 for DU. James came off the bench to score all of his season-high 11 in the second half. James went 3-of-4 from the 3-point arc. The three 3-pointers tied his career high set as a freshman at Dayton and tied last year against Pitt.

Duquesne went scoreless for an early five-minute stretch as Dayton, which shot 58 percent in the first half, built a 18-6 lead. UD upped the lead to 26-11 on back-to-back 3-pointers by Darrell Davis and John Crosby.

The Dukes endured another five minute drought before Blackman scored to make it 37-13 at the 4:54 mark. Blackman's bucket started an 11-0 run that briefly cut the lead to 15.

Pollard answered with back-to-back baskets to give the Flyers a 44-25 halftime lead.

Dayton opened the second half like it opened the game, limiting Duquesne to seven points in the first seven-plus minutes in taking a 62-32 lead on the second of back-to-back Kyle Davis layups with 12:43 remaining.

The lead reached 46 (84-38) with 3:49 left. Duquesne's previous low point game this season came in a 76-57 loss to Dayton at PPG Paints Arena on Jan. 14.

Dayton, which shot 58.7 percent for the game, assisted on 30 of its 37 field goals. The Flyers went 11-of-24 from 3-point.

Duquesne, which assisted on six of its 20 field goals, got three second-half 3-pointers from James to finish 6-of-21 from the arc.

Duquesne has lost seven straight. The Dukes are idle until next Saturday when it heads to St. Louis to face the Billikens at 8:00 p.m. (ET) (FOX Sports Midwest plus TV).
