January 4
Pitt at Syracuse, Noon, ACC Network (Channel 4 in Pittsburgh)
The Panthers will travel to the Carrier Dome to face their longtime rivals the Syracuse Orange. The matchup between Jamel Artis and Tyler Landon will be a backcourt battle to watch.
January 10
Baylor at West Virginia, 7 PM, ESPN2
In a top 10 matchup in the Big 12, the Bears will travel to WVU Coliseum for a defensive battle featuring physical forwards Jonathan Motley and Esa Ahmad.
January 18
Indiana at Penn State, 7 PM, Big Ten Network
The Nittany Lions will have their biggest test to date when their conference foe Indiana travels to the Bryce Jordan Center. The Lions young backcourt of Shep Garner and Tony Carr will try to match up with James Blackmon, Robert Johnson and former Pitt guard Josh Newkirk.
January 24
West Virginia at Kansas, 7 PM, ESPN 2
The Mountaineers head to Phog Allen Fieldhouse to face one of the best freshman in the country in Josh Jackson in a game that could go a long way to deciding the race for the Big 12 championship.
January 31
Pitt at North Carolina, 7 PM, ESPN 2
Pitt concludes a brutal January schedule with a trip to Chapel Hill, where Artis and Michael Young will take on the duo of Justin Jackson and Joel Berry in an attempt to get an NCAA Tournament resume building win.
