
Robert Morris falls to Youngstown State

Four Youngstown players scored in double figures as the Penguins won their fourth straight.
Leading the way for the Penguins was Matt Donlan, who hit five 3-pointers to tie his season high with 18 points. Bobby Hain finished with 14 points, Francisco Santiago added 12 and Brett Frantz had a career-best 10 points.
Matty McConnell added 12 for RMU, while Elijah Minnie had 9 points and 7 rebounds. Billy Giles led the Colonials on the boards with 9.
Robert Morris led 10-9 early, but the Penguins used a 15-2 run over the next eight minutes to take a 24-12 lead with 7:36 left in the half.
Robert Morris held YSU scoreless for nearly four minutes and used a 9-2 run to get within five, 26-21, with 3:25 left. Hain hit a jumper and Donlan closed out the first-half scoring with his fourth 3-pointer and gave the Penguins a 31-23 lead at the intermission.
YSU built a 49-36 lead with 13:06 remaining and kept the advantage at nine, 56-47, with 8:55 left. RMU scored the next six points to get within 56-53 with 4:54 left, but the Colonials went scoreless for the next 3:33.
RMU made 21-of-53 shots (39.6 percent) in the loss to fall to 1-7.
The Colonials host Oakland Saturday afternoon.
