The Colonials will face North Florida in an NCAA Tournament play-in game on Wednesday in Dayton, while the Mountaineers earned a fifth seed and will square off against Buffalo in Columbus.

The Colonials learned of their draw at a Selection Sunday watch party in Robinson, Pa., at the All-Star Sports Bar & Grille. RMU is part of the South Region, and the winner of Wednesday's game will move on to face No. 1 seed Duke in Charlotte, N.C., Friday, March 20.

"Seeing your name pop up on the bracket is one of the best feelings in sports," said fifth-year head coach Andrew Toole. "I know our guys were excited to see it. We've got a tough assignment ahead of us in North Florida, and we'll look forward to preparing the next few days to get ready for Wednesday."

Led by Toole, RMU earned its third Northeast Conference Tournament championship in the last seven years with a 66-63 victory at No. 1 seed St. Francis Brooklyn Tuesday, March 10. The Colonials are making their first NCAA Tournament appearance under Toole and eighth overall.

The Colonials and North Florida will tipoff at 6:40 PM on Wednesday. The winner will head to Charlotte to take on No. 1 seed Duke Friday night at 7:10 PM.

Robert Morris enters the 2015 NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 19-14 (.576). The Colonials are led by junior guard Rodney Pryor, who is averaging 15.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game and was named the 2015 NEC Tournament MVP.

Pryor was one of three players from RMU to earn a spot on the 2015 All-NEC Second Team, as joining him was senior forward Lucky Jones and freshman guard Marcquise Reed. Jones, the program's active leading scorer and rebounder with career totals of 1,604 points and 836, has supplied the Colonials with averages of 14.3 points and a team-high 6.0 rebounds this season.

Reed was selected the 2015 NEC Rookie of the Year in a vote of league head coaches and also earned a spot on the All-NEC Rookie Team. In 33 games Reed is averaging 14.8 points per contest and has established RMU freshman records for points (488), field goals (179), 20-point scoring games (10) and has tied a program rookie record for double-figure scoring games (24).

WVU to Face Buffalo
West Virginia earned the fifth-seed in the XXX region. The Mountaineers will travel to Columbus, Ohio, where they'll meet 12th seeded Buffalo on Friday, March 20 at 2:10 PM.

West Virginia (23-9) lost to Baylor, 80-70, in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 tournament last Thursday afternoon.

Buffalo, meanwhile, defeated Central Michigan in the Mid-American Conference championship game to earn an NCAA tournament bid for the first time in school history, and the first for former Duke standout Bobby Hurley.

Buffalo (23-9) posted a 12-6 record in the MAC and performed well outside of conference action, losing competitive games to NCAA No. 1 seeds Kentucky (71-52) and Wisconsin (68-56).

Six-seven forward Justin Moss leads Buffalo in scoring with an average of 17.7 points per game while 6-1 guard Shannon Evans is also scoring an attention-getting 15.4 points per game.

The Bulls go eight-deep with four players logging 831 minutes or more this season.

West Virginia BasketballThis will be West Virginia’s first NCAA tournament appearance since 2012 when the Mountaineers lost to Gonzaga in a first-round game in Pittsburgh, and their 26th overall trip to the tournament.

It’s West Virginia’s sixth NCAA appearance under Huggins, who is making his 21st trip to the Big Dance in his 30 seasons as a Division I coach. Huggins will also be coaching in Ohio where he played high school basketball and coached for the majority of his career at Akron and Cincinnati.

The West Virginia-Buffalo winner will face the Maryland-Valparaiso winner on Sunday.
