WVU receives two hoops commitments

Center Forsythe and guard Boatright verbal to Mountaineers

West Virginia received verbal commitments from two players in the class 2011 when center Pat Forsythe and point guard Ryan Boatright told coaches they planned to play for the Mountaineers.

Boatright, a 5-11 point guard from Aurora East High School in Illinois is considered a Top 50 player in the '11 class. Lightning quick with a reported 44-inch vertical leap, Boatright also had offers from Connecticut, DePaul, Miami, Fla., and Providence.

Forsythe, a 6-10, 210-pound big man from Brunswick, Ohio, had offers from Wright State and Utah State, but had started to garner interest from Cincinnati and Indiana. .

Boatright and Forsythe join 6-7 power forward Tommy McCune and 6-5 small forward Aaron Brown in the 2011 class.
