Harrison suspended one game for hit on McCoy

Ray Anderson of the NFL said the suspension is the result of Harrison's fifth illegal hit against a quarterback in the past three seasons. He was fined six times for similar hits in 2009 and 2010. Harrison has avoided such incidents this season, until he struck McCoy with the crown of his helmet during the Steelers' 14-3 victory over the Browns last Thursday.
Harrison, who plans to appeal the suspension, is not permitted to be at team facilities until next Tuesday, Dec. 20.
