North Allegheny 40 - State College 14
Mack Leftwich ran for five touchdowns and threw for another as North Allegheny rolled to a 40-14 win over State College.
Leftwich scored on runs of 8, 5, 12, 7 and 11 yards, and threw a touchdown pass to Gregg Garrity, to lead NA to the win, their second over State College this season. It's the fourth time North Allegheny has beaten State College in the past three years.
NA took a 70 lead on their first possession, but two Leftwich interceptions gave State College life, and the Little Lions responded. They tied the game at 7-7, and later in the second quarter trailed 19-14, but the Tigers scored on the final play of the half to take a 25-14 lead into the locker room.
The momentum continued throughout the second half and the game turned into a rout thanks to a stout NA defense and dominant play from Leftwich throughout.
North Allegheny moves on to play Central Dauphin next week.
Montour 25 – Grove City 21
Montour quarterback Dillon Buechel scored the winning touchdown with less than two minutes left, on a four-yard scramble on third-and-goal, as Montour rallied from a 21-0 deficit to beat Grove City 25-19 in the PIAA Triple-A semifinals.
Buechel threw two touchdown passes and ran for a third in the victory.
Aliquippa 32 – Moniteau 7
Dravon Henry scored three times and Desond Hardy added two touchdowns as Aliquippa rolled over Moniteau on their way to the PIAA Class AA semifinals. Aliquippa will play District 6 champion Tyrone next week in the semis.
