University Prep wins City League title

Coleman's 183-yards, strong defense lead to first championship

Jaylen Coleman ran for 183 yards, including a 90-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, as University Prep beat Allderdice 14-0 to claim the Pittsburgh City League championship.

Akil Young threw a touchdown pass to Tayvon Taylor for Prep's other score, and the UPrep defense shut down Allderdice to the tune of only 85 yards of offense.

University Prep advances to play State College on Nov. 25. The winner of that game will then advance to play the WPIAL Quad-A champion, either Upper St. Clair or North Allegheny.
