Central's Nixon commits to Maryland

Pittsburgh Central Catholic athlete to join his QB at Maryland

Anthony Nixon, a receiver/defensive back from Pittsburgh Central Catholic, has given a verbal commitment to play football at Maryland

Nixon, 6-1, 190-pounds, will join Central quarterback Perry Hills in the Terrapins recruiting class of 2012.

Nixon had 33 receptions for almost 700 yards and three touchdowns as a junior, but he is expected to play defense in college.
