Ford expects to play safety for the Orange

Dontez Ford of Sto-Rox has verbally committed to Syracuse. Ford is a 6-1, 190-pound defensive back/wide receiver who will likely play safety for the Orange.

He also had offers from Vanderbilt, Akron and Temple.
