Pitt head football coach Todd Graham strengthened his 2011 freshman class Tuesday with the addition of heralded linebacker Ejuan Price.

A product of nearby Woodland Hills High, Price originally signed with Ohio State in February but was recently granted his release. He will have immediate eligibility for the upcoming season.

“Ejuan Price is an outstanding addition to our freshman class,” Graham said. “He comes from a tremendous football program in Woodland Hills. Ejuan is an explosive player who has great leadership abilities. He will fit in well with our defensive schemes and philosophies.”

The 6-0, 235-pound Price was selected All-State Class AAAA by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers. He was a standout on both sides of the ball for Coach George Novak at Woodland Hills and helped the Wolverines earn berths in the past two WPIAL Class AAAA championship games.

Price is one of four Woodland Hills products to sign with Pitt this year, joining defensive lineman Khaynin Mosley-Smith and freshmen defensive backs Lafayette Pitts and Jevonte Pitts.
