The world of college recruiting is a busy one. The internet is inundated with websites that rate prospects, feature videos and discuss recruiting. But at the end of the day, college coaches recruit athletes they know.

If you are a three-time All-State athlete and you play football or basketball, most college coaches probably know of you and your abilities and have already contacted you.

Direction #1:  You’re doing nothing.  “My kid is good enough that college coaches will find him or her.”

Can anyone guarantee that you will be widely recruited? Not really, but there are lots of things you can do to improve your chances.
  • Improve your grades and test scores. You can't play in college if you are not academically eligible, no matter how good you are.
  • Take care of your body.
