Pryor unsure on official visit to Pitt

While Pitt has not been officially on the final list of Jeannette superstar quarterback TERRELLE PRYOR for many months, that does not mean they have given up. According to a source close to the situation, Pryor may take an official visit to the Pitt campus on Friday, January 25, during which time he would spend time with both the football and basketball programs. Pryor himself, however, is less committed to that idea.

“I’m not sure if I’ll have time,” said Pryor. “If I have time, maybe I will.”

When asked if this meant the Panthers were back in the mix, Pryor flatly replied, “I’m not going to Pitt. I just want to play at a college, do you know what I mean?”

Pryor added, “Where there are 100,000 there.”

Pryor, the consensus No. 1 prospect in the country, attended Pitt’s basketball victory over Georgetown on Monday night with Steelers’ quarterback Charlie Batch, a family friend who is helping the young star through his recruiting journey. A boisterous fan response throughout the game, as well as a push from gregarious Pitt-recruit Cameron Saddler, may not have had the desired effect.

Pryor has already officially visited Ohio State and will officially visit Michigan this weekend. All prospects are allowed a maximum of five official visits, so if Pryor does take an official visit to Pitt, he will have only two left. According to Pryor, those final two visits could go to LSU and Oregon. It’s possible that he will not take any more visits. Pryor recently cancelled an official visit to Penn State.
