Pitt Stars on Broadway

Former Pitt stars Charles Smith and Tony Dorsett attended the opening of the Sports Museum of America last month on Broadway in Manhattan. The museum offers more than 800 artifacts, 1,100 photos, and 20 original films representing a multitude of sports, from baseball to football, basketball to soccer, figure skating to extreme sports, and everything in between. The museum is also the new home of the legendary Heisman Trophy, college football's top honor, which was first awarded in 1935. In addition to permanent display, the annual televised Heisman Trophy Presentation will be hosted at the museum beginning in 2008.
