Spotlight On
Worthy Opponents

This season, Pitt, Penn State and West Virginia will line up against some of the best players in the NCAA. Here's a few to keep on eye on:

Vontez Duff, KR Notre Dame

- Duff continues the Irish tradition of special Special Team kick returners.

Maurice Clarett, RB Ohio St

- What can he possibly do for an encore? Watch and find out.

Kevin Jones, RB Virginia Tech

- With Lee Suggs and hopefully the injury bug gone, it's K.J.'s turn to shine.

Kellen Winslow Jr., TE Miami

- The pedigree doesn't hurt but he won't need daddy on the field.

Alex Stepanovich, C; Bryce Bishop, G; Adrien Clark, G Ohio St

- Clarett running behind these guys? That's not fair.

Randy Stark, DT Maryland

- BIG part of what may be the best defense in the ACC this year.

Marlin Jackson, CB Michigan

- Geez, another top notch CB at Michigan; who would have thought?

D.J. Williams, OLB Miami

- Big, fast, quick, talented. In short, a ÔCane.

Vince Wilfork, DT Miami

- Big, fast, quick, talented. In short, a ÔCane. No, this is not a typo.

Stuart Schweigert, FS Purdue

- A bit of a sleeper because of injury.

Ben Utecht, TE Minnesota

- With Winslow, Kris Wilson of Pitt and Utecht, locals will get to see the very best in Tight Ends.

Will Smith, DE Ohio St

- The Buckeye offense won't get all the attention this season.

Nathaniel Adibi, DT Virginia Tech

- Adibi is the leader of a very talented and experienced Hokie defensive line.

Maurice Sikes, SS Miami

- The Miami list goes on and on. How does anyone score on these guys?
